Screams ran through the village, jerking her from her sleep. The peaceful pattering of rain on her roof was replaced with the rumbling of thunder and flashes of lightning. And screams. In her crimson nightgown, she went to the doorway to see the terror. Her home, her beautiful village. Villagers scattered as a creaking filled the air. Her gaze shot to the right. The dam. Her jaw dropped slightly, but she had hardly passed breath before it burst open and the water exploded outwards. She gasped, frozen to the spot as she watched the floodwater invade her village. Knee-length gold hair was plastered to her face with rain and tears as she watched, helpless. It had been too late. Had she awoken earlier, she could've saved them.
No, she told herself. This was destiny. Nothing could have saved the village.

It shouldn't have happened to such a peaceful place. There had been no war there, and it was isolated from the rest of the country. The village was filled with kind and generous people, who loved their ruler unconditionally, and she loved them in return. She helped the farmers in the spring, she helped to nurse the sick and old, and when a new family needed a home, she was the first to step up and help because she felt that, as the princess, she was obliged to help them. To her, they were family, and she loved them as such.
The next morning, she stood in the sunlight. She watched her people clean up the ruins, preparing to start the rebuilding. A sweet wind blew that morning, bringing a rain of cherry blossoms. They fluttered around her and she closed her eyes, drawing energy from the Kaze no Tama, Jewel of the Wind, that hung around her neck. She ran her fingers gently over the sky blue crystal. It pulsated with a soft glow as if contented with its master.

"May I help you?" Tsunako appeared behind him, studying his every movement. He was not a resident of this village and it was quite obvious from his style of dress. There hadn't been an outsider in the village since before Tsunako's reign.

"Motorcyle? I've never heard of this creature you speak of. Please, explain it to me, Outsider." Her sky blue eyes held a confused look, still studying his movements.

"I'm sorry, I still don't understand." She shook her head. "Hmm.... My name is Princess Tsunako." She bowed her head slightly, and it would have been as if he was talking to the Queen Yuna from the City. After all, this girl did bear a striking resemblance to, not only the queen, but the Princess Liciana, who disappeared on a trail ride when she was six.
